Pendant lights have long been the lighting of choice for most ceilings, and in recent times we've seen a real progression in ceiling light designs.
For more contemporary pendants we are seeing a new range of colours and style being introduced by suppliers. While the more traditional finishes, such as chrome and antique brass, continue to sell strongly we are seeing an increase of mixing and matching colours, such as matt black with copper, or antique copper with smoked glass.
We are also seeing an increase in alternative finishes, such as the matt black or pink finishes. We are also seeing a noticeable increase in different coloured glass, with smoked black glass and marble effect selling particularly strongly at the moment.
We are also seeing an inevitable increase in integrated LED ceiling light pendants, where the LED fitting is fixed in to the fitting. It means manufacturers can be ever more innovative with the designs.
With the ongoing improvement in LED technologies we are also seeing the number of G9 and G4 lamps increasing. These are great for large decorative light pendants, especially where you have cluster lights.
